Like A Tree On A Hilltop
Like a tree on a hilltop,
That withstands storms, heavy pours,
Scorching sun and withered stones.
Fixing its roots deep to the core
It bends and sways
Where the wind takes
But never moved its roots
It stood firm and unbothered
And continues to grow
Like a tree on a hilltop
Life blessed us with toils and snares
Webs and nets along the way
Trying to bring us down, to move our feet
Like a tree on a hilltop
We stand firm,
Neither moving our feet
Nor falling from the blows
Against all the turmoils
We rise, through trials and temptations
With strength and resilience
Like a tree on a hilltop.
